MSG8 is machine stress graded to level 8 requirements.  This means that boards pass through a machine to test the strength and stiffness and is marked to the level it meets.  MSG8 is used in general framing and construction situations.

Number One Framing is a visual grade which has not passed through a strength and stiffness tester as MSG8 but is a high quality grade suitable for the same applications and was used prior to MSG8 being introduced.  Number One Framing we produce for outdoor premium use and is treated accordingly.

This grade is used widely for interior and exterior framing applications and is treated accordingly.  Fencing products are often Number two framing grade.

Cut of Log represents a mixed grade with clear cuttings of various lengths to well featured boards with numerous defects. 

This grade is used for non structural applications and outdoor treated situations

Graded as per Merch Grade specifications but for the particular use/purpose of application as Top Plate and Ceiling Strapping

Industrial Grade is known by many names but is the lowest grade to be produced.  This grade is used for pallet manufacturing and packaging situations.
